Although bearing no resemblance to John Storr's faceless Art Deco monolith atop the Board of Trade Building, this visage of Ceres (the Roman Goddess of grain and wheat) is generally considered to be a nod to the aforementioned statue. When you look at the enlarged photo of her, she looks more like Cameron Diaz before her nose job than a Latinate Deity of Cereal Products. Oh my! I made a specious comparison, turned a tortured phrase, and started a vicious rumor all in one sentence. 50 Bonus Points for me!
