The gleaming white terra-cotta facade of the Wrigley Building was a tribute to the buildings of “The White City” of the 1893 World Columbian Exposition. The facade features six increasingly brighter shades of white as it rises to the sky. This gives the illusion of a uniform whiteness from bottom to top.
